Events worthy of a good blogging

Here, I’ll spill my latest drama and occurences to complete and total strangers! Haha. Anything really worthy of blogging about though. I promise I won’t load it up with ”Oh my god! How many times can I lose my pen in one day?!”

Surgery for my old man… post-op

care? Me.

Sooo, my old man is having surgery again…
He walks using the help of crutches, and has been for years and years now… (he’s getting up there in age)…

One of his legs is entirely incapable of bending, so the use of crutches is imperative if he intends on walking…

The upcoming surgery will contain surgery on him arm, leaving his arm out of commission, and needing rehab to get back to its old self.

During this rehab time, he won’t be able to walk… which means he’ll need help, after the surgery, to get back to his old self.

The only problem with the hospital’s recommendation of sending him to a professional help center (nursing home, etc.) is that the last time they suggested this, a relatively big issue came up. He was transferred to a different facility, where he got gan grene on two of his toes, which then had to be amputated (only half of each toe).

Either way, I won’t let that happen again… And though I’m no pro nurse/doc/etc, I’m intelligent enough to know how to take care of him. It’s just a lot of pressure. And sometimes pressure can get the best of me.

We’ll see how this pans out…
